ATS Optimization
DID YOU KNOW?
💥 According to research conducted by Jobscan, over 98% of Fortune 500 companies use an ATS of some kind.
💥 A recent Kelly OCG survey estimates that 66% of large companies and 35% of small organizations rely on some form of AI in their recruitment software.
💥 If you’re applying through ANY online form, you’re applying through an ATS.
💥 Even job sites like Indeed and LinkedIn have their own built-in ATS.
Clearly, the ATS is here to stay.
-
The Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is a highly popular HR software that utilizes artificial intelligence, allowing employers to quickly filter through hundreds of resumes.
If you plan on conducting your job search online – and who isn’t these days -- your resume will likely go into an ATS. To get your resume through the ATS and into human hands, you have to speak in a language it understands.
Below are a few examples of things most ATS cannot decipher:
- Tables / Columns
- Icons / Graphs
- Photos / Emojis
- Hyperlinks - Basics like standard URLs, email addresses, or site links are fine
- Fancy fonts - Instead, try using a preferred font such as Calibri, Garamond, or Helvetica.
